Richard Loh, Regional Practice Leader, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, General Manager, Guangzhou
Richard Loh is the Regional Practice Leader for Supply Chain Management/Logistics for MRI China Group. The regional practice consists of specialist consultants situated in the various offices, who are focused on Logistics/Transportation Service Providers and the Functional Supply Chain professionals across Asia. Richard will be responsible for strategic development and management of the regional practice, taking a lead role in growing the group’s market share and developing key client relationships within his assigned area of focus. At the same time, he and his team will be working very closing with the other practices within the group, providing recruitment expertise on cross industry functional supply chain related assignments. He is also the General Manager of MRI Guangzhou, overseeing day-to-day operations management.
Richard joined MRI China Group four years ago, running the Supply Chain/Logistics desk and servicing one of the Group's largest logistics clients and others. Subsequently, he was assigned to manage the Group's newly created Internal Recruitment department where he helped put in place its processes and procedures, built up an impressive database of candidates, and assisted in achieving the Group's strategic hiring plans.
In April 2007, Richard assumed the role of Operations and Performance Development Coordination Manager, as the key contact point for the coordination of MRI China’s performance development and operational initiatives.
Richard has been working for nearly a decade in the recruitment/executive search industry. During his earlier years in the business, he was a generalist recruiter across sectors such as Transportation, Logistics/ Supply Chain, Consumer, High Tech and IT. In 1999, he transitioned into a specialist role focusing on Logistics/Supply Chain, serving predominantly 3PLs, Freight Forwarders and Shippers across Asia Pacific.
